TrueBlood-Cocktail
Hello Everyone and Happy Friday. We hope that you are keeping well and safe and staying at home during this month of May, that will probably extend into the next few months. At least now, we can get out for unlimited exercise as we are starting to come out of our 3rd “lock down” which is great news, with meeting up up with family and friends inside/outside, with the “rule of six”. But we have a way out with the vaccine.
We thought we would show you how to make another cocktail, called the Apple Martini-Cocktail. The origin or history of how this cocktail started it was made after the character Mary Trueblood, in the James Bond film, Dr. No. This drink featured in the film.
How to make the above cocktail, you will need the following ingredients/equipment.
50ml Whisky
10ml Campari
10ml Crème De Cassis
25ml Red Vermouth
Pinch of Salt
Maraschino Cherries (for the garnish)
Whisky Glass (Frozen) or something similar from your cupboard
Strainer/Sieve
Bar Spoon/Tea Spoon
Cocktail Pourers
Chopping Board/Knife
Cocktail Shaker/Glass
This is a fairly straight forward cocktail to make but also very easy to drink too.
To make this cocktail, you will need to follow these simple steps:
Pour the 50ml Whisky, 10ml Campari, 10ml Crème de Cassis and 25ml Red Vermouth straight into a cocktail shaker, along with a pinch of salt and a few ice cubes. Then using the bar spoon, stir the drink for a minute or so until mixed properly. Pour the drink straight into the whisky glass, by straining it first. Finally, place a couple of maraschino cherries into the glass for the garnish.
Kick yourself back, relax and enjoy!
