Strawberry Mojito-Cocktail

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday!

We thought we would show you how to make another drink, called the Strawberry Mojito Cocktail. This history or origin of how the creation of the drink started, is it was created by the African slaves working in the Cuban sugar fields during the 19th Century, with the workers mixing the sugar with the local Rum. Another ‘train of thought’, is the Mojito traces back to the 16th Century, developed in honour of Sir Francis Drake.

How to make the above Strawberry Mojito-cocktail, you will need the following ingredients/equipment:

50ml White Rum

25ml Cane Sugar Syrup

Soda Water or Sparkling Water

Sprig of Mint (Garnish)

Limes, Strawberries and Mint leaves

Ice Cubes or Crushed Ice

High Ball Glass (or something similar from your cupboard)

Cocktail Pourers

Bar Spoon (or something similar)

Muddling Stick

Chopping Board and knife

This is a fairly straight forward cocktail to make but also very easy to drink too. To make this cocktail, you will need to follow these simple steps.

Place into the glass, a couple of strawberries, then ‘Muddle’ them, using the Muddling stick. Then do the same process with a couple of limes and mint leaves. Pour in 25ml Cane Sugar Syrup and give the drink a final muddle. Add 50ml White Rum into the high ball glass, along with a few ice cubes. Add a few strawberries around the side of the glass and top up with soda water. Using the bar spoon, give the drink a good stir until mixed properly. Finally, use a sprig of mint (for the garnish), that goes into the drink.

Kick yourself back, relax and enjoy!
