Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday. We hope that you are keeping well and safe and staying at home during this month of June, that will probably extend into the next few months. At least now, we can get out for unlimited exercise as we are starting to come out of our 3rd “lock down” which is great news, with meeting up up with family and friends outside, with the “rule of six” inside/outside. But we have a way out with the vaccine.
We thought we would show you how to make another Spring/Summer cocktail, called the Raspberry Mojito. The origin or history of how this cocktail started is a bit vague, however it is a lovely, refreshing drink to have while sitting on your patio on a warm Summer’s night.
How to make the above cocktail, you will need the following ingredients/equipment.
50ml White Rum
25ml Cane Sugar Syrup
2/3 slices of lime
Slice of Lime (for the garnish)
High Ball Glass (or something similar from your cupboard)
This is a fairly straight forward cocktail to make but also very easy to drink too.
To make this cocktail, you will need to follow these simple steps:
Place a couple of lime slices in the bottom of the high ball glass, then crush the limes with a muddling stick, to release the juices. Likewise, place a few mint leaves in the bottom of the glass and follow the same process. Pour in 25ml Cane Sugar Syrup and a couple of raspberries and give it a final muddle. Pour in 50ml of white rum and top up the glass with crushed ice and layer the drink with the rest of the raspberries and topped up with soda water. Finally, give the drink a good stir, to mix the drink properly. Garnish, with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint leaves.
Kick yourself back, relax and enjoy!
