Long Island Iced Tea-Cocktail
This is a summer drink and was first served in the mid 1970’s by Robert Butts, a barman at the Oak Beech Inn, in the town of Babylon, Long Island, New York.
How to make the above cocktail, you will need the following ingredients/equipment.
Vodka
White Rum
Gin
Triple Sec
Sours or a lime.
Lime Juice (25ml)
Topped with Coke Cola.
Ice cubes
Lime and Lemon slices
Cocktail Stick
Gib Bev Glass (or something similar from your cupboard)
Cocktail Shaker/Glass
Strainer
Cocktail pourers
This is a fairly straight forward cocktail to make but also easy to drink too.
To make this cocktail, you will need to pour the Vodka, White Rum, Gin and Triple Sec (4 x ingredients = 50ml) with the lime juice (25ml) and the Sours mix (25ml). Or you could squeeze a fresh lime or two into the drink instead. Then give the cocktail a good mix by giving it a good shake. Strain and pour the drink into the glass over some ice cubes. Top the drink with coke cola so that the drink looks like ‘cold tea’. Finally, garnish with a slice of lemon and a couple of limes on the top of the drink, using a cocktail stick. Relax and enjoy!
